I have a small farm in central Virginia. Peace Valley Noal is my SP, a chestnut mare. She is 21 and very gentle. Riding her is so smooth. Not a fast girl but steady. Her buddy is my rescue gray mare Andelusian, Zarzuela. My girls are a beautiful sight out in my pastures. I also have very rare Zwartble sheep and a small vineyard. My farm and house was established in the 1790's.

Luise and I have raised and still use Canadians. My interest in farming has led us to the Suffolk breed. We have two mature, bred mares and four young mares. I enjoy starting them and driving, we host driving clinics and I am working towards certification as a driving coach in Canada.

First purchased our Suffolk horses as 8 month old fillies in December 2003. Starting as 2 year olds they were used for all types of farm work, mainly winter feeding a 700 - 800 ewe sheep flock until 2012. I have semi-retired since then and the horses are used for plowing, cutting hay, planting crops, spreading manure and anything else we need them for. We have since added a third mare and comes in handy on heavy draft work, like plowing and three abreast on a large manure spreader.
They have always been a pleasure to work with and probably the most dependable horses I have ever owned and I have had horses of various breeds my whole life.

My wife (Jane) and I have both retired, and have been raising registered Suffolk Punch horses. We have 2 mares now and expecting babies next spring, 2 fillies that will be old enough to breed next year 2025. We also have a beautiful stallion (Sunrise Prince). My husband and I have just bought our forever farm and are looking to add a versatile horse or two to help us with driving, mowing and riding.
