Pleased as Punch Farms is a small hay farm in Burns Oregon.

The new home of Ben & Jerry, 11 year old Suffolk Punch geldings.

Originally from Montana, the boys made a stop in Washington before coming home to Oregon where they have grown into a great working pair. After 6 years in the Willamette Valley, the boys pulled up stakes in 2025 and moved to the High Desert region of Harney County Oregon where they are learning the fine art of sampling alfalfa and getting reacquainted with snow.

My husband and I have just bought our forever farm and are looking to add a versatile horse or two to help us with driving, mowing and riding. We have always loved Suffolks and are looking forward to learning from this community. We hope to eventually be able to participate in community events with our horses as we live in a close knit, historic town. I grew up on a horse farm and spent years as a farm animal vet tech. My husband is a carpenter and we cannot wait to combine our passions into a horse powered farm!

His first foal will be born early 2022 to Reber's Donald Mary. The first foal for this 5y/o mare. "Red" will be available for outside mares in 2022. I also teach teamster skills through lessons, workshops, and internships.

My small family is preparing to build a legacy closed-loop farm in OH or PA. We’ll use draft horses and the Suffolk Punch is the lead contender to drive farming implements and leisure carriages/sleighs. I’m quite impressed with their strength, temperament, and stunning beauty, and they are the right size for my purposes.

The reason joined NASHA is to become more familiar with the breed and community in anticipation of potentially purchasing a registered team in the near future.

I currently have two suffolks, a mare and gelding, who pull a carriage for weddings and special events. The horses live with three jersey milk cows and two mules. I was introduced to the suffolk breed two years ago when a now friend was logging. I'm amazed every day by these horses with their calm demeanor and willingness to please. I look forward to growing my herd and spending more time with such an amazing breed

We have been members of the ASHA since 1989. We purchased our first mare and stallion that same year. We have had over 60 foals on our farm and continue to this day breeding our Suffolks. We have sold horses all over the United States and Canada. We work our horses on the farm plowing, discing, draging, culitvating and planting. We have approxiamtely 80 acres and use both tractor and horses for our farming. We have showed our horses at county fairs, given rides for festivals, weddings, and Don has entered many plowing competition also. We showed our 2 yrs old mare Mill Road Meghan at the Royal Winter fair in 2000 . Now we have our grandson Dominic Button working with us and he enjoys the horses as much as we do. It is so nice to have young people who are interested in learning about our breed and learning how work the farm with horses.
