We have made hay, logged, and farmed with horses and mules for 20 years here. Currently standing an excellent young Stud. Po Boy Farm's Red Oak. His first foal will be born early 2022 to Reber's Donald Mary. The first foal for this 5y/o mare. "Red" will be available for outside mares in 2022. I also teach teamster skills through lessons, workshops, and internships.

I presently own a Registered Suffolk Punch mare who has raised 3 handsome colts for me.
I started her to work under harness and saddle. She is used for farming, logging, pleasure driving and riding as well as breeding. She has been pinned Champion Mare at the North American Suffolk Punch Spectacular in both 2018 and 2019.
I have also handled multiple stallions for presentation before judges and was fortunate to be handling the 2019 Champion Stallion at the Spectacular as well.
I hope to continue to breed, raise and start many more Suffolks in the future alongside my family. I plan to also contribute to the interest in this breed by presenting them in multiple disciplines in the public eye for years to come.
This is not my first membership with ASHA and am renewing membership in hopes to both represent and have the support of the association.

Old Capitol Farm is a diversified farm on 71 acres in Corydon, Indiana, which was the first state capital. Old Capitol Farm is hilly, and not well suited for large-scale farming. With horses and people as our predominant source of power, we make use of the soil to grow healthy food for people and livestock. We also manage the farm's timber, and operate a small sawmill. It is a beautiful thing to practice land stewardship in a way that provides our needs without compromising the cycles which sustain us. The good use of horses allows us to get the work done while contributing to soil health. Good horses are a necessary part of that equation. In the near future I would like to employ a team of Suffolk Punch mares on my farm. The breed is very rare in my area. Perhaps I can contribute to the promotion of the breed through breeding of new stock as well as their use on our farm.

Our farm is in the northeast corner of Ohio. After farming with Percheron horses for over 30 years, in January of 2020, we switched to Suffolk Punch horses. I wonder why we waited so long!
My son and some dear friends, helped me with my decision to make the switch. Counting a pair of full sisters in my son's barn, we currently have six Suffolk horses here on our farm. Stay tuned for more updates and conversations regarding these amazing, well minded, tough horses and our experiences with them.
I am a regular contributor to Rural Heritage magazine. In cooperation with Rural Heritage magazine, we have made several videos for RFD-TV. Many of these can now be seen on YouTube. I look forward to promoting the Suffolk Punch breed here on my farm as well as around the world, using every means available to me.

I am new to Suffolk Punch. I have a 2012 mare and a 2024 colt.
My mare is bred and I am excited about this new adventure.
I am not new to the horse world. I have spent a lifetime with horses. I am retired. The Suffolk is an amazing partner.
