Pleased as Punch Farms is a small hay farm in Burns Oregon.
The new home of Ben & Jerry, 11 year old Suffolk Punch geldings.
Originally from Montana, the boys made a stop in Washington before coming home to Oregon where they have grown into a great working pair. After 6 years in the Willamette Valley, the boys pulled up stakes in 2025 and moved to the High Desert region of Harney County Oregon where they are learning the fine art of sampling alfalfa and getting reacquainted with snow.

Our farm is in the northeast corner of Ohio. After farming with Percheron horses for over 30 years, in January of 2020, we switched to Suffolk Punch horses. I wonder why we waited so long!
My son and some dear friends, helped me with my decision to make the switch. Counting a pair of full sisters in my son's barn, we currently have six Suffolk horses here on our farm. Stay tuned for more updates and conversations regarding these amazing, well minded, tough horses and our experiences with them.
I am a regular contributor to Rural Heritage magazine. In cooperation with Rural Heritage magazine, we have made several videos for RFD-TV. Many of these can now be seen on YouTube. I look forward to promoting the Suffolk Punch breed here on my farm as well as around the world, using every means available to me.

We have a few quarter horses and recently added Read's Sovereign Cisco 3508-S, five year old Suffolk stallion. Plan to breed him to some quarter horse mares and look for Suffolk mares to buy and breed. Will consider breeding to some outside mares.

My husband and I have just bought our forever farm and are looking to add a versatile horse or two to help us with driving, mowing and riding. We have always loved Suffolks and are looking forward to learning from this community. We hope to eventually be able to participate in community events with our horses as we live in a close knit, historic town. I grew up on a horse farm and spent years as a farm animal vet tech. My husband is a carpenter and we cannot wait to combine our passions into a horse powered farm!
