Hello there…Zain here from Waco Tx and I am 33 years old. I am a business owner and family man. I am newly inspired, after much research, by the Suffolk Punch draft horse and am looking to add these beautiful animals to a horse drawn farming endeavor here in central Texas. I am helping to manage a CSA and a large farm that is owned by the community that I and my family are a part of. We are excited to get a few of these majestic horses to help us with the tremendous work of managing this farm without the use of modern machinery. My small family is preparing to build a legacy closed-loop farm in OH or PA. We’ll use draft horses and the Suffolk Punch is the lead contender to drive farming implements and leisure carriages/sleighs. I’m quite impressed with their strength, temperament, and stunning beauty, and they are the right size for my purposes.
The reason joined NASHA is to become more familiar with the breed and community in anticipation of potentially purchasing a registered team in the near future.

Our Suffolk mare drives single, we have a cart and a bob sled she pulls along with skidding out firewood.
